Naturhafte Abstraktionen mit starker emotionaler Tiefe<\/em> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Waldemar Weimann:\u00a0 Wenn uns Aquarelllandschaften verzaubern<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Aquarellmalerei ist ebenso vielgestaltig wie herausfordernd als auch faszinierend. Und die Lebendigkeit, die nat\u00fcrliche und leuchtende Farbgebung verzaubern ja nicht nur die K\u00fcnstler und K\u00fcnstlerinnen selbst. Ein K\u00fcnstler, der den Balanceakt zwischen Gegenst\u00e4ndlichkeit und Abstraktion perfekt beherrscht, ist Waldemar Weimann. <\/span>
\n 1957 in der ehemaligen UdSSR geboren, studierte er von 1983-88 monumentale Kunst an der Theater- und Kunsthochschule in Alma-Ata (KSSR). Nach zahlreichen Ausstellungen, unter anderem in Moskau, Minsk und Alma-Ata, lebt und arbeitet er seit 1991 in Krefeld. Seine Bilder finden sich in privaten und staatlichen Sammlungen weltweit.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n Es sind emotionale Bilder, welche den Grenzbereich zwischen erkennbarer Natur und malerischer Andeutung – verwischend, wie von einem dunstigen Schleier verborgen – ausloten. In eine Farbspiel, mit einem expressiven Duktus, werden selbstreflektive Wahrnehmungen, Gef\u00fchle, Gedanken k\u00fcnstlerisch formuliert. Farbfelder, die in- und miteinander verschmelzen und, sich wieder l\u00f6send, in andere Gefilde eintauchen, werden bei Weimann zu eindrucksvollen Impressionen. <\/span>
\n Die malerisch-emotionale und naturhafte Verkopplung schlie\u00dft spontane, gef\u00fchlsbetonte Assoziationen nicht aus, wie sie gleichzeitig aber eine reine naturgegebene Abbildung verneint. Von daher durchdringen diese Bilder sowohl die gef\u00fchlsm\u00e4\u00dfige Verortung einer sichtbaren Natur als auch die malerische Idee des K\u00fcnstlers aus dessen emotionaler Befindlichkeit heraus. <\/span>
\n Diese Wirkungen gehen weit dar\u00fcber hinaus; es ist eine Art Konglomerat verschiedener Ebenen, die sich anhand eines Naturschauspiels auf das Papier artikulieren: „Unwetter \u00fcber Insellandschaft“ steht symbolisch f\u00fcr diese faszinierende Maltechnik. Die Horizontlinie mit einem bew\u00f6lkten Himmel, den Seen, \u00fcberhaupt der ahnbaren, regendurchtr\u00e4nkten Landschaft dient dem K\u00fcnstler als dynamisches „Natur-Ereignis“, welches das verborgen Wahrnehmbare in sich tr\u00e4gt und dem Betrachter zur Deutung \u00fcberl\u00e4sst. \u00c4hnlich verh\u00e4lt es sich bei dem Werk: „Erster Frost“. <\/span>
\n Farblich zwischen\u00a0 grauen Nuansen\u00a0 und orange-braun T\u00f6nen eingespielt, erahnt der Betrachter das erste Eis durch ein flirrendes Grau hindurch, schwebend und kaum wahrnehmbar. Farbe und Form stehen in Werken von Waldemar Weimanns in einem unmittelbaren Zusammenhang: Natur und Reflexion – ein sich findender, unaufl\u00f6slicher Dialog, der stets aufs Neue die Verbundenheit von Beidem thematisiert – ohne die Absicht diese zu beenden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waldemar Weimann: When watercolour landscapes enchant us<\/p>\n

Watercolour painting is as diverse as it is challenging as it is fascinating. And the liveliness, the natural and luminous colouring not only enchant the artists themselves. An artist who perfectly dominates the balancing act between figurativeness and abstraction is Waldemar Weimann.
\nBorn in 1957 in the former USSR, he studied monumental art at the Theater and Art Academy in Alma-Ata (KSSR) from 1983 to 1988. After numerous exhibitions, including in Moscow, Minsk and Alma-Ata, he has lived and worked in Krefeld since 1991. His pictures are found in private and state collections worldwide.
\nIt is emotional images that explore the border area between recognizable nature and picturesque hint – blurring, as if hidden from a hazy veil. In a play of colours, with an expressive style, self-reflective perceptions, feelings, thoughts are formulated artistically. Colour fields, which merge in and with each other and, loosen again, immerse themselves in other realms become impressive impressions at Weimann.
\nThe painterly-emotional and natural coupling does not exclude spontaneous, emotionally concluded associations, as it simultaneously denies a pure natural representation. These pictures therefore permeate both the emotional location of a visible nature and the painterly idea of the artist from his emotional condition.
\nThese effects go far beyond this; it is a kind of conglomerate of different levels, which articulate on paper through a natural spectacle: „storm over island landscape“ stands symbolically for this fascinating painting technique. The horizon line with a cloudy sky, the lakes, the anywhere if the forgotten, stimulated landscape serves the artist as a dynamic „nature event“, which carries the hidden perceptible within it and leaves the viewer to the interpretation. The work is similar: „First Frost“.
\nRecorded in colour between grey Nuanses and orange-brown tones, the viewer guess the first ice through a shimmering grey, floating and barely perceptible. Colour and form are directly related in works by Waldemar Weimann: nature and reflection – an indissoluble dialogue that is found to be found, indissolutely, which always thematizes the connection of both – without the intention of ending them.<\/p>\n

\n\u201eWas sind meine Landschaften? Eine Reisedokumentation, ein Spiegel meiner Laune? Psychoanalyse, Farbspiel? Eine Erf\u00fcllung bestimmter Sehns\u00fcchte, eine Erfahrung mit einer Welt, die eine ganz eigenartige Sprache spricht?\u201c.
\nSo erlebt der K\u00fcnstler fragend und gleichsam analytisch seinen in der Entstehung begriffenen Werkkomplex. Sein \u0152uvre umfasst eine Reihe ineinander verschmolzener Schaffensphasen, die sich durch verschiedenste Materialien und Techniken ausdr\u00fccken. Das Aquarell, vornehmlich die Landschaft, erschlie\u00dft selbstreflexiv die Seelenwelt des K\u00fcnstlers, der seine Gef\u00fchle und Sehns\u00fcchte materialisiert.
\nDie Landschaften sind keine Naturstudien. Ihre rein kognitiv angeregte Entstehung verst\u00e4rkt ihren Zweck und Ihre Vielschichtigkeit. Das dargestellte Naturereignis verarbeitet Emotionen und Launen und \u00fcbersetzt sie in Erscheinungsformen von Himmel und Erde. Meistens zeigen die Aquarelle Unwetter und Unruhe, die sich vor oder nach einem Gewitter \u00fcber dem Horizont verbreiten \u2013 die Interpretation bleibt dem Betrachter \u00fcberlassen.
\nDem ausgesprochen expressiven Malweise <\/span>geht die Farbwahl voran. Der Betrachter erf\u00e4hrt ein aufgew\u00fchltes Selbst durch ein feuergleiches Rotspektrum, das \u00fcberraschend aus einem Gebirgszug auftaucht oder gleichsam tiefe seelische Beruhigung, die der tiefblickende windstille Himmel hervorruft…<\/p>\n

\n„What are my landscapes? Accounts of my travel, a game of my moods?Psycho-analasis or just play of colors? The fulfillment of my aspirations, the experience with a world that speaks a different language to me?“
\nThis is how the artist experiences questioning and at the same time analytically his work that is constantly in development. His body of work embraces many creative periods that express themselves in different material and techniques. The water color painting, especially the landscape, reflects the artists` soul, who materializes his feelings and desires.
\nThe landscapes are no studies by nature. Their cognitive becoming empowers their function and complexity. The depicted natural phenomenons assimilate certain emotions and moods and translate them into heaven and earth. Mostly, the paintings show storms and restless skies that flood over the horizon – the interpretation is left to the viewer.
\nThe intense and expressive flow of line correspondents to the choice of color. The viewer experiences a turbulent self through fire like reds that come up surprisingly as well as calm that can come with a quite and peaceful heaven…<\/p>\n
